What are the transaction fees when using the Stripe Terminal card reader?
The fees when using a card reader are reduced to 2.7% + 5c USD on every transaction. Normal Payment app fees of 1.2% also apply.
Do you support the Stripe Terminal Reader M2?
Yes! The greatest part about the Reader M2 is that it is Bluetooth enabled with a long battery life, and can be used to swipe cards. In addition, it also supports EMV (chip-cards) and NFC (tap payments).
Do you support the Stripe Terminal WisePad 3
Yes, this reader is available in all countries except in the United States.
Do you support the BBPOS WisePOS E
Yes, this reader is available in all supported countries.
Do you support the Stripe Terminal Verifone P400?
The Stripe M2, Stripe S700, BBPOS WisePad 3 and BBPOS WisePOS E are the only card readers supported in the U.S, however, we do support the Verifone P400 for users in Canada (but this support is no longer updated).
Are the card readers PCI compliant and pre-certified?
Card readers are certified EMV Level 1, 2, 3. They provide end-to-end encryption, natively support chip cards and contactless payments, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, and help protect you against liability for counterfeit fraud.
Which countries have card readers available?
At the moment, card readers are ONLY available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom and the United States.
Can a single card reader be used with multiple mobile devices?
Unfortunately, the Bluetooth protocol only allows connection to a single mobile device at any given time. This means that the card reader cannot be shared across many multiple devices without disconnecting and reconnecting again.
